Add an asset to a project
To add an asset to a project
Click the tab name that you want to add an asset to.
Do one of the following:
- Drag an asset file from Windows Explorer onto the active PortfolioWall project tab and release.
- Choose File > Import and use the file browser to select the asset file you want to add, then click Open. (If some files are not listed in the file browser, make sure Files of type is set to the proper format.)
- Use Windows Explorer to copy or move an asset file directly into one of the project root folder's subfolders.
Adding an asset to a project
You can add assets to a project and arrange them by placing them into project tabs.
Make sure asset filenames do not contain spaces or special characters ( \ / : * ? " ' < > | ) that may be incompatible with other operating systems viewing the PortfolioWall project via the PortfolioWall web client, or that may cause Javascript errors in the PortfolioWall web client.

Asset thumbnails
When you add an asset to a project, PortfolioWall automatically creates a thumbnail for it as follows:
If the asset is an image, PortfolioWall uses the image to create the thumbnail.
If the asset is a movie, PortfolioWall uses a movie frame (approximately one second into the movie) to create the thumbnail.
If the asset is a 3D model or other document, PortfolioWall uses a default thumbnail.
If PortfolioWall cannot read the asset file (for example, if the file is corrupt, or there are network problems), PortfolioWall uses a question mark thumbnail.
