Customize asset thumbnails To customize an asset thumbnail Add the asset and an image (to use as its thumbnail) to the project (see Add an asset to a project). Click the Info tab. Drag the document thumbnail to the large cell at the top of the Info tab. Drag the asset thumbnail to the small cell at the bottom of the Info tab. The asset thumbnail is automatically replaced with the image (and the image thumbnail is removed from the project). To use an asset's default thumbnail Click the Info tab. Drag the thumbnail to the large cell at the top of the Info tab. Drag the image from the small cell at the bottom of the Info tab to the Trash button. Customizing asset thumbnails When you add an asset to a project, PortfolioWall automatically creates a thumbnail for it as follows: If the asset is an image, PortfolioWall uses the image to create the thumbnail. If the asset is a movie, PortfolioWall uses a movie frame (approximately one second into the movie) to create the thumbnail. If the asset is a 3D model or other document, PortfolioWall uses a default thumbnail. If PortfolioWall cannot read the asset file (for example, if the file is corrupt, or there are network problems), PortfolioWall uses a question mark thumbnail. If you add several non-image or non-movie documents to a project, they will all appear with identical thumbnails. You can change the thumbnail for a non-image or non-movie asset from its default to any image. For example, if you have a word processor document containing information related to a product, you can change that document's thumbnail to an image of that product. Or you can use PortfolioWall Viewer to create a thumbnail for a 3D model based on a view of the model. (See the PortfolioWall Viewer online help for more information.) (You can also change an asset thumbnail back to its default.) After you change a non-image or non-movie thumbnail, you can add text or sketch annotations to it.
